"For Singapore, territorial expansion has been an essential part of economic growth. Since independence in 1965 the country has expanded by 22%, from 58,000 hectares (224.5 square miles) to 71,000 hectares." - The Economist

Singapore, Japan, China, Malaysia are expanding land are by reclaiming land from the sea. Their challenge today is that there is a severe shortage of sand. Separately Indian construction industry is suffering from a massive shortage of sand.
Meanwhile India is producing stunning quantities of garbage which is creating a massive problem across cities, especially acutely felt in Bangalore.
My startup idea : Collect and incinerate India's garbage. Ship it to countries that need sand. The key tech challenge in this is to incinerate garbage in such a way that the residue has sand-like or better than sand characteristics.
This could also lead the to the beginning of massive land reclamation projects in India itself. We need more land too.
Who wants to partner with me on this?
